Rafaelsen Young Investigators Award

OPEN September 30 – January 7, 2025

In 1986 Ole Rafaelsen and William Bunney were instrumental in establishing a CINP programme supporting the attendance of young scientists at the 15th CINP Congress. That programme was posthumously named the Rafaelsen Young Investigators Award to honour Dr. Rafaelsen, who died in 1987.

The recipients of the upcoming Award will be chosen by an international scientific jury in March 2025. Three awardees will be selected and presented with the award consisting of a certificate, a USD 200 cash stipend, three nights of accommodation during the Congress in Melbourne and complimentary registration fee for the CINP-AsCNP2025 Joint Congress. Selected recipients will also have the opportunity to present their abstract orally as part of the Rafaelsen Symposium.

Guidelines
  • All applications must be supported by an active full CINP Member. It is not sufficient if the applicant is a CINP member.
  • Applicants must be working within the area of neuropsychopharmacology.
  • Applicants need to have obtained a PhD or MD within the last 10 years (not earlier than 2014).
  • The applicant commits to participate with an oral presentation at the CINP-AsCNP 2025 Joint Congress, if elected recipient of the award.

Notification on the Award Winners will be communicated in March 2025.

Requirements
  • The applicant’s curriculum vitae including a list of publications
  • 500-word statement which summarizes the applicant’s current work activity
  • The supporter’s full name and signature on the 500-word statement. The supporter needs to be an active full CINP Member.
  • Copy of PhD certificate
  • Submitted abstract

 

STUDENT ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD

OPEN September 30 – January 7, 2025

This award is to encourage PhD students globally to participate in and experience the CINP-AsCNP 2025 Joint Congress. The applicants must be a PhD student, submit abstract for oral or poster presentation and register for the Congress. A maximum of ten awardees will be selected. This Award will consist of a monetary award of USD 200 and a commemorative certificate.

Guidelines
  • The applicant needs to be a PhD student/postgraduate student.
  • Applicants must submit an abstract for the CINP-AsCNP 2025 Joint Congress.
  • Applicants must register and pay for the Congress by February 14, 2025.
  • The applicant must commit to attendance at the CINP-AsCNP 2025 Joint Congress for all four days if receiving the award.

Notification on the Award Winners will be communicated in March 2025.

Requirements
  • 150-word statement of the reason why the applicant wishes to be considered for the Student Encouragement Award
  • Copy of the applicant’s student ID
  • Submitted abstract
